Role overview

IELTS is the most renowned English proficiency test in the world, with more than 2.5 million test takers every year.  We are looking for IELTS examiners to join our growing team in West Africa.   

You will need:

  •  An undergraduate degree or a qualification(s) that can be demonstrated to be equivalent to an undergraduate degree.
  • A recognised qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL/TEFL) or recognized equivalent as part of a recognised university award course.
  • At least 3 years’ full time (or the equivalent part time) relevant TESOL teaching experience (minimum one year post-certificate level qualification). The majority of this teaching experience must relate to adult students (16 years and over).
  • IELTS Examiners must be the equivalent of an IELTS Band 9 - this is an 'Expert User' on the IELTS Band Scales, having a 'fully operational command of the language:  appropriate, accurate and fluent with complete understanding.'
  • The required professional attributes and interpersonal skills.
