The New Connections Grant Open Call for Senegal aims to provide grants to cultural organisations, festivals, artists, and creatives between Senegal and the United Kingdom (UK) to create art, build networks, collaborate, and develop markets and share artists’ work with audiences. It builds on previous open calls related to mobility, exchange and art making which have supported organisations and individuals in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) and the UK to develop new ways of working internationally - allowing cultural exchange to flourish despite restrictions on global movement since the onset of the COVID pandemic.
